1. 5th Annual MDA $1 per Member per Meal Program Going on NOW!
REMINDER: From Sunday, January 24th through Saturday, January 30th the UFA is once again asking members to participate in this fund raising effort to help those afflicted with Muscular Dystrophy. Donations received from this go directly to those in our area, including many of our own member's families. All donations can be sent to the MDA, P.O. 2. John Jay College Tuition Reimbursement - Spring 2010
The Department is offering a tuition reimbursement plan for all uniformed members who are registered for courses at John Jay College. Any FDNY member currently enrolled at John Jay College should complete the Notification of Registration form JJ-1 (available on the FDNY Intranet) to be eligible for consideration of tuition reimbursement by Friday, February 5th. Members who file form JJ-1 are required to submit the request for reimbursement form JJ-2 by June 15th. The JJ-2 form and a copy of the transcript and proof of payment shall be forwarded to the FDNY College Advisor, Mary-Elizabeth Rohan, FDNY Director of College Admissions, 718-281-8464; rohanm@fdny.nyc.gov.

3. 8th Annual FF David Arce & FF Michael Boyle Memorial Benefit
On Saturday, February 6th at O'Hurley's Bar & Grill, 174 W. 72nd Street (off Broadway) NY, 4-7pm. $50 at the door includes food, drinks, & more. 50/50 sold at door. 4. Chili Cook-Off Fundraiser for the NYC Firefighters Brotherhood Foundation
On Sunday, February 28th from 1-5pm at Connolly's Corner, 71-17 Grand Avenue, Maspeth, NY. Donation: $25 per person, includes entertainment, buffet, door prizes and more. 5. Lt. Chuck Margiotta (L-85) Biker Run Memorial
On Sunday, May 23rd (rain or shine) at Monsignor Farrell H.S. located at 2900 Amboy Rd. Staten Island, NY at 10am sign-in will begin for the Brains, Brawn & Bravery Biker Run in Chuck's honor. Ride leaves at 12 noon. Entry Fee: $20 includes music, food, and refreshments. Non-riders and friends of Chuck are encouraged to come too. All proceeds go toward the Chuck Margiotta Memorial Scholarship Fund for incoming Freshmen at Monsignor Farrell H.S.
