One Person Found Dead of Carbon-Monoxide Poisoning in Queens

One person died of apparent carbon-monoxide poisoning in a home near Kennedy Airport in Queens Monday morning, Fire Department officials said.

Firefighters responded to a 911 call at 10:48 a.m. and found extremely high carbon monoxide readings in the home on 148th Dr. in Rosedale, officials said.

One person, believed to be an elderly man, was pronounced dead at the scene, and a second person refused medical attention.
